Each colour of candle has its own meaning, and can be used for spells with that meaning. Here is a listing of the candle colors and their meanings:
1. RED - it is the colour of love, passion, romance, but can also be used to grab some energy or strength, red is also the color of fire and often used as a fire elemental candle, a person can also use it for thier career goals as well.
2. BLUE - is the colour of water and often used as a water elemental candle, can be used to bring good fortune to the spell worker, may help in bringing wisdom and often used to help with healing energies.
3. ORANGE - is a goal orientied colour. Often used to help with such goals as buisness, legal, career, sucess. If you have a goal in mind orange is your color.
4. YELLOW - is the colour of the sun and often used as a replacement candle for the god, or the sun. Can be helpful with the intellect and the memory. Some may use this candle to bring wealth into the home.
5. PURPLE - is the colour of the third eye, so this is our psychic candle. My personal favorite. This candle is helpful in meditations, reading tarot, speaking to spirits, and a whole host of other psychic interests.
6. PINK - is also the colour of romance. True love is the pinks color. This color can bring peace to a relationship, it can also bring joy into it as well. It is an affectionate color that can bring two beating hearts closer together IF they are already joined.
7. GREEN - is the colour of the elemental earth and often used as a earth candle. This candle like the earth itself can bring fertility, physical healing and emotional healing, it is also the color of money and used often in money spells, it is often used in plant magick.
8. BROWN - is the colour of animals fur, and as our friends the brown animal candles bring friendships to us, wheter animal or human. Some also use this candle to ask for special favors as well.
9. BLACK - now don't get excited about the black candle, its not evil as it is supposed to be in circles. This candle can be used in many spells to ward off negativity and to unbind as well as bind people and things. This candle is used often in protection spells as well as getting rid of any negativity.
10. WHITE - the colour of the goddess and used to for the goddess candle, this candle can be any other candle when doing candle magick as it is all colors but no color like the white light of the sun, some people use this candle for spirituality help or for helping them to achieve their higher selves. It is the purist of all the candles.
11. SILVER - the colour of peace. This candle is a female candle and one of the Moon Goddess. Its great for sending out positive energy as well as taking away negative energy. it helps to calm tempers and depressive moods.
12. GOLD - is the colour of the sun and often used as a replacement candle for the god, or the sun. Can be helpful with the intellect and the memory. Some may use this candle to bring wealth into the home. Notice its the same as the yellow candle.
13. INDIGO - Colour of inertia; stops situations or people; use in rituals that require a deep meditational state
14. GREY - Neutral colour useful when pondering complex issues during meditation; in magick, this colour often sparks confusion; it can cause negativity to leave your home as well.
